Cessation—E-Cigarettes

Jamie Hartmann-Boyce and colleagues at Cochrane update their review of e-cigarettes for smoking cessation and conclude that there is moderate certainty evidence that e-cigarettes can improve rates of cessation above nicotine replacement products.

Prevalence—Cigarettes

The 2019 update of the global burden of tobacco was published in the Lancet raising the estimate of the number of smokers to 1.1 billion worldwide.
