Webinar: Quitting Cigarette Smoking after a Menthol Ban: Results from Ontario
Thursday, February 28, 2019 | 11am-12pm EST
In the past two years Ontario, along with other provinces, has been implementing world-leading regulations on restricting flavours in tobacco products including menthol, but how well have these policies been working? Many countries around the world, including the United States, are considering implementing menthol restrictions and results from the Canadian experience may be influential.
This webinar presents the results of evaluations of these regulations using wholesale sales data reported to Health Canada, and a long-term cohort of menthol smokers assessed before and after the ban, presenting the first long-term evaluation of the effects of a menthol ban.
