OTRU supports its tobacco control research network in a variety of ways, including providing access to funding.
OTRU Investigator Grants
The OTRU Small Project Grants for Canadian Researchers offers five grants of up to $20,000 each to OTRU Investigators and Affiliates on an annual basis. Two of these grants are designated for “early career” applicants (those within 10 years of having completed a PhD).
OTRU Student Funding
The Ashley Studentships for Research in Tobacco Control were created to increase tobacco research capacity in Ontario by developing a future generation of tobacco researchers and practitioners. Studentships of up to $7,200 each are awarded in two competitions each year.
We also provide links to other funding sources that provide financial support for work in tobacco control.
