OTRU uses its evaluation expertise to help Smoke-Free Ontario Strategy partners in maximizing the benefits from their investments in evaluation. Each funded program works with OTRU to assure that evaluations are useful, timely, and methodologically sound. The quality assurance system includes reviews of annual and specific evaluation plans, ongoing consultation, and assessment of draft evaluation reports.

An Evaluation Review Panel supports OTRU in conducting reviews of evaluation plans and draft reports. The panel is made up of evaluation reviewers who are called on to contribute to reviews based on their particular areas of expertise.
